Elysium Fields

Greek Myth: The Greeks did not believe in a heaven and hell; instead, their dead went to the realm of the god Hades. Elysium, also known as "Isle of the Blessed", was where the exceptional humans were sent; most mere mortals became mere "shades" upon their deaths. Elysium was a section of the Underworld (the spelling Elysium is a Latinization of the Greek word Elysion). "Elysium is an obscure and mysterious name that evolved from a designation of a place or person struck by lightning, enelysion, enelysios. A few worthless beings ended their being in Tartarus, the closest equivalent to hell in Greek mythology.

Ελληνικός Μύθος: Οι Έλληνες δεν πίστευαν στον παράδεισο και την κόλαση. Αντ 'αυτού, τους νεκρούς τους πήγαιναν στο βασίλειο του θεού Άδη.  Τα Ηλύσια, επίσης γνωστό ως «Νησί των Ευλογημένων», ήταν όπου έστελναν τους άριστους ανθρώπους. Οι περισσότεροι απλοί θνητοί γίνονταν απλές "σκιές" μετά το θάνατό τους και λίγα άχρηστα όντα κατέληγαν στον Τάρταρο, το πλησιέστερο ισοδύναμο σε κόλαση στην Ελληνική μυθολογία.
